MCS students explore street art

June 16, 2010

Students once again ventured into further exploration of our vibrant city when they went to Hosier Lane on an official street art tour. Andrew Mac from the Until Never art gallery took MCS students on a journey into the world of legal street art. The amazing level of depth, talent and voice that each picture captured thoroughly enraptured everyone in attendance. Inspired by this, students have been creating stencils in art and are placing these stencils on the courtyard wall.

Student feedback included:

‘I loved the gangster monkey. It was very detailed and very cool’

‘I love street art because it livens up Melbourne. I think more people should be encouraged to explore street art’

It is clear how our city location provides a very real landscape for learning and discovery.
