Rus Kitchin the one-time graffiti artist who graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts last year, takes images of holy statues, gives them expressions more latter-day and tribal, couples them with prison signs and then casts long dribbles of paint over the top.
While the imagery exudes a street-art sense of alienation, the resin Kitchin also applies, is glossy and finessed and strictly gallery fare. Until June 14.
